Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer – £650 outside IR35 – Hybrid (London office, twice a week)

Please note: This is a contract role, and candidates must be able to commute to the London office twice per week.

La Fosse has partnered with an established business to recruit a Contract Principal Engineer to join their team. This role is heavily focused on architectural system design, taking ownership of shaping scalable, integration led platforms across a complex technology landscape. You will play a key role in defining and driving technical strategy.

Key Requirements

Strong experience in TypeScript (Node.js/React environment)

Solid knowledge of AWS (EKS, Lambda, Aurora RDS)

Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in cloud-native environments

Proven ability building GraphQL & REST APIs

Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka advantageous)

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
