Job Description

Overview The Principal Geologist provides technical leadership across Grade Control, Mine Exploration, and Mineral Resources, working in close collaboration with Mine Engineering, Drill & Blast, and Operations. The Principal Geologist ensures full compliance with RGM Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and plays a key role in expanding Rosebel’s resources and reserves through effective grade control, near-mine exploration, and geological modeling. 
Key Responsibilities Ore / Grade Control Provide technical leadership to the Grade Control team for RC and blast hole sampling. 
Optimize ore/waste delineation and minimize dilution through best mining practices. 
Review blast patterns and ore control models (packet modeling). 
Validate end-of-month Mine and Mill production figures. 
Lead monthly reconciliation reviews and interpretation of results.
