Principal Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Overview

We’re seeking a Principal Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own and evolve our global container platform. You’ll lead the design and operation of highly available, multi-region Kubernetes environments used by teams across a large, distributed organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building a reliable, secure, and developer-friendly platform at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the Kubernetes platform strategy, roadmap, and technical standards
• Design, build, and operate multi-region, highly available Kubernetes platforms
• Lead architecture decisions across networking, storage, ingress, and cluster lifecycle
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and automation-first practices
• Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience and self-service
• Embed security, reliability, and observability by default
