Role Overview

This role sits within the Capital Delivery and Assets Branch which is primarily responsible for the planning and delivery of projects within Council’s capital works program.


The Principal Project Engineer – Major Public Works leads the delivery of complex, high-value public works projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. The role provides technical leadership, project management expertise, and stakeholder engagement across all phases of major project delivery.


The Principal Project Engineer – Major Public Works will be a member of the leadership team within the Capital Delivery and Assets branch alongside other teams and functions of the Capital Delivery and Assets Branch.
