**Overview**

Azure Core is one of Microsoft Azure’s most impactful and rapidly expanding business areas. The Azure Core Compute team in the India Development Center (IDC) plays a key role in delivering a cloud platform capable of supporting a wide range of workloads. These include major Microsoft services such as Microsoft Teams, Bing, Exchange, Xbox, Structured Query Language (SQL) Azure, Microsoft 365, HDInsight, and Cosmos Database (DB), as well as customers like Accenture, Adobe, Walgreens, Walmart, Flipkart, and InMobi.

The infrastructure developed by the team supports organizations across industries including retail, banking, finance, gaming, logistics, and data analytics. The Azure Resource Mover team focuses on enabling customers to move their Microsoft Azure application resources across regions. This includes building a platform that Azure resource providers can use generically, and supporting resource moves triggered by the underlying Azure platform.
