Process Engineer

The SMT Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes to ensure high-quality PCB assembly, maximum productivity, and minimal defects. The role focuses on process control, continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and supporting production to achieve operational excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Process Development & Optimization

2. Develop and optimize SMT processes including solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow soldering.

3. Establish and maintain process parameters for stencil printing, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
4. Create and validate reflow oven profiles for different PCB assemblies.

5. Improve yield, cycle time, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

6. New Product Introduction (NPI)

7. Support NPI builds and pilot runs.
