• Procure TL/LTL/Parcel services to offer best in class solutions for prospective and existing customers
• Manage, develop, coordinate, and optimize carrier relationships. Classify carriers by role (strategic, niche, etc.) and invest time as appropriate.
• Develop strategic Top to Top relationships with key carriers. Lead efforts to develop strong relationships at all levels – executive levels at carrier and Crane, execution focused meetings between carrier Sales / Ops and Crane account teams.
• Identify new carriers to add to the core carrier base or to migrate from non-strategic to strategic roles.
• Monitor the purchased transportation spend of assigned carriers.
