Procurement Officer

Introduction

City Logistics is seeking a Procurement Officer who will be based in Durban.

Duties & Responsibilities

YOUR CORE FOCUS AREAS:
• Issue requests for quotations, evaluate quotations, analyse results, and recommend suppliers in line with company standards.
• Process purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Maintain procurement master files.
• Liaise with business specialists to identify requirements and secure 
products/services from specialist suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock, coordinate with 
suppliers for timely deliveries, and optimize inventory turnover.
• Work within budget constraints and seek cost-effective solutions without 
compromising quality or reliability.
• Contracts and SLA's: Review of existing agreements to align with business.
