JOB DESCRIPTION PORTFOLIO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assures that Ionics is buying only from dependable and quality suppliers. Maintains an effective pool of suppliers for normal buys and spot buys
• Assures that Ionics is requesting quotes only from dependable and quality suppliers. RFQs are sent only from these effective pools of suppliers for normal buys and spot buys.
• Assures that capacity planning with suppliers are done by giving them on a regular basis forecast or visibility of orders for suppliers to plan for themselves accordingly. Forecast and order visibility is also given during RFQ stage so suppliers can provide competitive prices and terms.
• Conducts regular face to face meeting with suppliers to update them of the development and specific requirements of Ionics and to resolve any issues between Ionics and the suppliers for a better business relationship.
