We’re supporting a growing, family-owned thermoformed food packaging manufacturer in Haydock who are looking to strengthen their NPD and in-house tooling capability.

This is a hands-on role in a busy SME environment where you’ll take products from concept through to production, with real influence over design, tooling and process improvement.

The Role

* Design and develop thermoformed plastic packaging to customer specification

* Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks (or similar)

* Apply key thermoforming principles (draft angles, shrinkage, de-nest features etc.)

* Design, manage and commission in-house tooling projects

* Programme CNC milling machines for prototyping and tooling manufacture

* Develop production-ready prototypes using modelboard and CAM software

* Work closely with Engineering, Production and Sales teams
