Flappie is a Swiss pet tech startup solving a problem most outdoor cat owners know too well: cats bringing dead animals into the house.
The problem:
Cats are natural hunters. When they have outdoor access through a cat flap, they often return home with gifts—dead mice, birds, lizards, sometimes still alive. For millions of cat owners, this means waking up to dead animals in the kitchen, blood on the floor, or worse. It's stressful, unhygienic, and harmful to local wildlife.
