Product Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Lead & support the launch of new seating systems components from conception until product launch
• Integration of foam, trim, plastics, structures, and other non-JIT components into the final seat complete assembly
• Responsible for foam design and engineering and component releasing
• Seat Foam complete BOM management
• Engineering Changes release
• Issue and manage engineering changes to implementation
• Issue and manage design requests for drawing and 3D updates
• Prepare and update seat complete DFMEA along with analyzing supporting teams’ DFMEAs
• Facilitate design for manufacturing meetings and process with manufacturing facilities
• Technical internal and external competitive benchmarking
• Support and participate in prototype builds
• Direct or create one off mockups to show feasibility of design proposals
