Be a vital part of SLACAN Industries as a Hammersmith Operator focusing on precision in the Forge Department. This position offers hands-on machine operation in a collaborative setting.
As a Hammersmith Operator (Setup & Operate 2), you will manage setup and operation of heavy machinery, ensuring product quality and efficiency. Contributing to Canada’s largest poleline hardware production means your role is significant in maintaining the reliability of the electric grid.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate drop hammers and manage machinery setups
• Verify production material and tools before starting jobs
• Track production data and hygiene of work areas
• Train and guide fellow operators on jobs and safety
• Report maintenance and safety issues as they arise
Requirements:
• Strong physical stamina for industrial demands
• Familiarity with high-heat environments
• Attention to detail and safety adherence
• Ability to work all shifts including rotation
