The Post Holderwill provide clinically based education and guidance to all levels of neonatal nurses ensuring best available evidence. They will be able to facilitate orientation, induction, supervision, teaching, assessment or guidance and provide any appropriate support to any members of the neonatal nursing team with their professional development.

The post holder will possess excellent clinical knowledge and teaching skills to enable them to work within the level 3 environment. They will deliver high standards of care, and be able to support and develop junior staff nurses knowledge and skills. 

The post holder will, without supervision, be responsible for undertaking research to inform, create and up-date nursing protocols, will participate in collaborative neonatal research
