Program Coordinator – Abuse Response and Prevention Program
Job Synopsis
The Abuse Response and Prevention (ARP) Program of Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba (MCCM) seeks to promote healthy family, church, and community life. The goal of this program is to create awareness within family, community, and congregational settings of the prevalence and seriousness of abuse, work towards its prevention, and equip people to respond in ways that foster healing.
Job Details
This is a part‑time position (.5 FTE) located at the MCC Manitoba office at 140 Bannatyne Ave, Winnipeg.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Social Science)
- Experience working in the area of abuse response and prevention
- Training in the dynamics and impact of all forms of abuse
- Training in supporting victims of abuse and abusers (asset)
