The Project Engineer is assigned by Southco to lead the team responsible for achieving the project objectives, through the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to the project activities to meet the individual project and business requirements. This includes the program requirements identification, selection and acquisition of support services (New Product Development and SBU team assignment, tooling, customers and so on). The Project Engineer needs to support the project feasibility checks (strategic, commercial, technical) and has full project responsibility from the project award or nomination to production sign off (PSW). This will involve close networking with and co-ordination of the NPD and SBU teams within Southco facilities both local and global, the sales team and external suppliers.
