Job Summary

The Progressive Die Maker is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of progressive stamping dies used in high-volume metal stamping operations. This role ensures tooling precision, production efficiency, and product quality while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tool & Die Fabrication

• Build, assemble, and fit progressive dies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision machining (milling, grinding, turning, drilling, EDM) of die components.
• Ensure tight tolerances and alignment of die sections.

2. Die Maintenance & Repair

• Conduct preventive maintenance on progressive dies.
• Troubleshoot die issues causing production defects (burrs, misfeeds, cracking, dimensional issues).
• Repair or replace worn components (punches, die inserts, guide pins, springs).
