Project Accountant

Our client, a national regulatory organisation, seeks an experienced Project Accountant for a 12 month engagement. 

This role sits within the Finance team and supports a portfolio or program of projects. You will partner closely with Project Managers and senior finance stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting and financial governance.

Role overview
You will provide end to end project accounting support, manage month end activities and contribute to sound financial control across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities
Project accounting and month end

• Prepare and post monthly project journals, including accruals, prepayments and cost allocations
• Ensure accurate and timely capture of project costs in the general ledger and project systems
• Perform monthly reconciliations and resolve variances
• Support month end close in line with Finance timetables
