Project Accountant

Makosi is partnering with a newly established Property and Development Company (PropCo) to appoint an experienced Project Accountant to support their growing portfolio. This is a long-term contract opportunity suited to a hands-on accounting professional with strong property sector exposure.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end accounting support for a newly formed Property and Development entity
Lease accounting in line with applicable accounting standards
Development accounting with a focus on PPE, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and related revenue recognition
Month-end and project-level accounting, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Supporting financial controls and processes as the business scales
Working closely with stakeholders across finance, projects, and operations
Requirements
Proven accounting experience (not audit-only); candidates from audit must have strong PropCo exposure
