Project Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Accountant - responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the financial performance of construction projects. The role ensures that project budgets, actual costs, billings, and collections are accurately recorded and reported to Management to support cost control, profitability analysis, and informed decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Project Cost & Budget Monitoring

• Maintain approved project budgets per cost category
• Record and monitor actual project expenses
• Prepare Budget vs. Actual (BVA) reports
• Identify and explain cost variances

B. Financial & Management Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly project financial reports
• Provide cost analysis and variance explanations to Management
• Support project cost forecasting and cash flow planning
