Project Accountant

Makosi is partnering with a newly established Property and Development Company (PropCo) to appoint an experienced Project Accountant to support their growing portfolio. This is a long-term contract opportunity suited to a hands-on accounting professional with strong property sector exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounting support for a newly formed Property and Development entity
• Lease accounting in line with applicable accounting standards
• Development accounting with a focus on PPE, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and related revenue recognition
• Month-end and project-level accounting, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Supporting financial controls and processes as the business scales
• Working closely with stakeholders across finance, projects, and operations

Requirements

• Proven accounting experience (not audit-only); candidates from audit must have strong PropCo exposure
