This position works in the Project Management organizational unit. This is technical and administrative work in coordinating design, construction and development projects in Parks Operations. An incumbent of this class coordinates construction and development projects; prepares work plans, cost estimates, reports, budgets, project specifications and related documents; hires and oversees work of contractors and consultants; conducts field inspections; liaises and consults with a variety of internal and external contacts. Considerable independent judgement and action is exercised in carrying out the work while discussing more difficult and unusual problems and policy matters with a supervisor who reviews work for conformance to established standards, achievement of objectives and effectiveness of services rendered. Performs related work as required.
