Job Description
A Project Engineer / Site Engineer provides advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects. A site engineer's roles are:
Managing the construction projects
Prepares cost estimates and analysis
Overseeing building works
Undertaking surveys
Setting out sites
Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
Supervising contracted staff
Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and or timescales
Ensuring materials requisition and purchases are reviewed based on specific project requirement
Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
Preparing site reports and filing in other paperworks
