Project Leader

Corning is one of the world’s leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science. The company manufactures glass substrates for active matrix LCDs used in LCD televisions, notebook computers, and flat panel desktop monitors. The role provides subject matter expertise in engineering to improve product, process and/or equipment performance and to advance the innovation process for new products. It supports design and analysis of first/next generation products, processes and/or equipment, and documents intellectual property developed as part of projects.

• Provides leadership in problem solving and technical expertise to ensure timely resolution of short-term process and equipment issues, and higher level troubleshooting
• Directs other technicians/engineers, coaches junior engineers, and provides guidance to maintenance personnel
