Project Safety Officer

The responsibilities associated with the position include:

SAFETY, CONTROL and EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

• Prepare and/or review the HSE plans and systems currently in operation within SNAP, recommending changes and ensuring the use of the plans and systems are audited when required and according to an agreed frequency and standard.
• Submit regulatory reports to the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and other relevant agencies, including to the Project Manager when required.
• Provide incidence reports and maintain records and statistics of health and security incidences.
• Identify hazards (existing and potential), assess risks and implement controls (HIRAC) to eliminate identified hazards.
• Conduct regular and special health, safety and security inspections in coordination with project sites and prepare inspection reports that are transmitted to the Project Manager.
