Overview

Kuopio University Hospital in the Wellbeing Services County of North Savo has a one-year project researcher position available, with possibility to expand into a PhD project. The project focuses on machine learning, image analysis, and patient register analysis in osteoporosis and fracture risk research. Location: Kuopio, Finland. The research is conducted mainly at Kuopio University Hospital, with potential collaboration at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and the PhD dissertation carried out at UEF.

Responsibilities

• Develop and study machine learning methods and research in medical imaging and patient register data analysis.
• Analyze large-scale image and patient data: hundreds of thousands of patients, millions of images, and hundreds of millions of registry entries.
• Participate in patient measurements and report results.
