Our client is seeking a Property Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will work with the Director of Finance to manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of both residential and commercial properties, including general ledger accounting, preparing budgets, year-end billings and financial statements, and providing accounting support to internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the annual budget, including lease assumptions, utility/property tax forecasting, and contract schedule updating
Collaborate with operations and property administration teams to ensure budgets are completed accurately and submitted on time
Enter all budgets into YARDI with proper monthly spreads
Perform year end CAM (Common Area Maintenance) and Tax recovery calculations, reconciliations and adjustments
