PRS Placements Adviser

Are you passionate about tackling homelessness and building strong relationships with landlords? This is a pivotal role within our Housing Allocation service, driving the supply of quality, affordable private rented homes for people in housing need.
You’ll play a key part in delivering the council’s homelessness accommodation strategy improving standards, increasing supply, and giving tenants a stronger voice.

What you’ll be doing:
• Achieving targets to secure a strong supply of suitable, affordable PRS tenancies
• Proactively attracting new landlords and developing innovative PRS access schemes
• Procuring high quality private rented homes in line with placement policy
• Arranging sustainable PRS placements that maximise customer wellbeing and minimise poverty
• Working closely with Housing Options to discharge homelessness duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and the Localism Act 2011
