Responsibilities
- Assist with management and treatment of outpatient behavioral health activities under supervision of licensed mental health professionals.
- Conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
- Counsel clients/patients with personal, behavioral, or psychological problems.
- Perform work independently, resolving non-recurring problems using judgment to select appropriate guidelines.
- Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and report observations to licensed behavioral health staff.
- Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions under guidance from licensed mental health professionals.
- Complete initial intake interviews and required forms for new patients on behalf of licensed mental health providers.
