Job Description

Summary Provides direct psychiatric care to ICE detainees as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider. Duties include evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, and coordination of care. Requires relevant licensure, board certification, clinical experience, and flexibility. Reports to clinical director and collaborating psychiatrist. This position is only open to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates. Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct psychiatric care to detainees via onsite and telepsychiatry services for scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visit. Consults with the Psychiatrist and/or Clinical Director for complex psychiatric patients and as required by IHSC policy. Provides infirmary care including admission, discharge, and daily rounds for detainees that require higher levels of psychiatric care or monitoring.
