Psychiatrist, DDMHT - Adult 100-1235 (Permanent Specialty)

Island Health has an opening for a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Developmental Disability Mental Health Team (DDMHT). The successful applicant will work with DDMHT, providing assessment and consultation to patients from 14 years and up with a range of intellectual disability (ID), including autism, FASD, Down Syndrome and mental health and substance use needs.

As part of DDMHT the successful candidate will join a dedicated interdisciplinary team of Nurses, Psychologists, OT, and Psychiatrists that offer a specialized community based consultation service providing assessment and review, working with family physicians and the community care teams and families that support youth (14 years and older) and adults with ID. Consultative Service may include telehealth outreach to other parts of Vancouver Island.
