Tai Aroha is a beautiful purpose-built 10-bed residential treatment facility for men considered to have a high risk of violent offending. It is run by a dedicated team of psychologists, reintegration coordinators, a programme facilitator, a Kaupapa Māori practitioner, and other support staff, who work together to help residents address the causes of their offending and build pathways for positive and crime-free lives. It incorporates therapeutic community principles and processes, tikanga Māori practises, and offence-focused psychological treatment.
