Pulmonary Function Technologist

Job Summary:


Under general supervision, performs pulmonary function studies, pulmonary rehab procedures and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures in accordance with physicians orders, protocols and departmental policies/procedures. Maintains adequate records. Follows standard infection control procedures. Performs inservice and teaching. Performs pulmonary function procedures, assuring patient is provided adequate, safe care and accurate testing results.

Essential Responsibilities:


+ Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.

+ Performs diagnostic, therapeutic and rescue procedures.

+ Demonstrates an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process in delivering services to patients of the age group served.
