Job Description
A Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement department by helping source products, process purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment
- Compare prices and evaluate supplier quotations
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate with other departments regarding purchasing needs
- Support negotiations and vendor management activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; college degree in Business or related field preferred
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support is an advantage
