Purchasing Assistant

I. Responsible for procurement and prompt delivery of local purchases of the company and for ensuring that the materials procured are within specifications and reasonable price.

• Sorts and classifies purchase requisition form from the requesting departments based on priorities and budgets per department.
• Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
• Reviews and maintains updated record of approved and qualified suppliers.
• Negotiates with suppliers on matters relating to pricing, terms and conditions, repairs/maintenance and warranties.
• Prepares email and submit purchase form to and from local suppliers.
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
