Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, and purchasing products required for supermarket operations. This role ensures optimal stock levels, competitive pricing, reliable suppliers, and timely delivery of goods while maintaining product quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure grocery, fresh produce, frozen, household, and non-food items
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and wholesalers
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, discounts, and promotional deals
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stock shortages
• Coordinate with store managers and warehouse teams on demand forecasting
