Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Officer shall help establish procedures for the purchase of required materials, tools, equipment, and services that are within the budget and conform to agreed specifications and standards.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
Source new vendors for better quality products/items as well as better processes.
Evaluate the documents submitted by the vendors for accreditation purposes (supplying quality and offering the best price).
Obtain bids/quotations and negotiate with vendors to get better prices, deals, terms, and discounts, and confer with vendors to ensure prompt delivery.
Ensure that vendor contracts are duly approved by the CEO/President before execution.
Supervise the necessary demonstration of supplies and equipment, and distribute procured items.
