Pure (Elsevier) Subject Matter Expert

Overview

We are supporting a leading UK university with the implementation of a Current Research Information System (CRIS) an experienced PURE SME to provide hands‑on system expertise and delivery support.

This is a greenfield implementation of PURE (Elsevier), aimed at creating a single, authoritative repository for research data including outputs, archives, and researcher information, in preparation for future REF submissions (2028/29).

Responsibilities

• Providing hands‑on expertise across PURE configuration and workflows
• Supporting data migration and data loading activities (staff, student, research outputs, archives)
• Advising on out‑of‑the‑box vs bespoke configuration decisions
• Supporting the programme through UAT preparation and execution
• Acting as a trusted advisor to the university delivery team, helping to unblock issues and accelerate progress
