QC Mechanical Inspector

Overview


This position will be responsible for the inspection of all parts and determining if the parts meet specifications. The position will also be responsible for all documentation associated with the inspection process.


Responsibilities


+ Inspect all parts and supplies using customary inspection devices such as bore gauges, height gauges, hardness testers, profilometers, and CMM. Responsible for calibrating all equipment used.

+ Assess conformance of products and assemblies to drawings and specifications. Notate any discrepancies on blueprints and report issues to management.

+ Interpret blue-prints and assembly prints. May be asked to create sketches with dimensions when new parts are received from vendors for engineering to create blueprints.

+ Responsible for documenting if part has passed or failed, the location of pallet, and reporting of all related data.
