QUALIFIED COFFEE ROASTER

Maria's Coffee Paarl is looking for an experienced and qualified Coffee Roaster with traceable references in coffee roasting to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes specialty coffee and is hands-on, reliable, and quality-driven.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Roast coffee according to defined roast profiles and Maria's Coffee quality standards
• Develop, refine, and maintain roast profiles for consistency and flavour excellence
• Conduct cupping sessions, quality control, and ongoing flavour evaluation
• Manage green bean intake, storage, stock rotation, and roasting records
• Maintain and care for roasting equipment and ensure clean, safe working practices
• Operate and run our mobile coffee truck at events, markets, and festivals
• Train, mentor, and support new and existing baristas to brand standards
