Quality Manager

Main Responsibilities:

+ Manages the Quality Assurance department, establishes and operates within the department budget, hires, trains, assigns work, appraises performance and recommends salary adjustments for reporting employees.

+ Implements procedures for inspection, disposition and record retention for incoming raw materials and components and reviews quality problems with vendors. Provides supplier surveillance assistance as required.

+ Maintains a system for calibrating all key inspection, gaging and process instruments. Approves purchase and repair of inspection and gaging equipment. Works with vendors to improve inspection techniques and equipment.

+ Leads and promotes the quality assurance philosophy including preventive quality systems.

+ Be proactively involved in corrective, preventive action and problem-solving strategies. Collaborates with operations team on analysis and recommendations for improvements.
