Quantity and Cost Engineer

Role Overview

SMEC is looking for a Quantity and Cost Engineer to join our hydropower project team in Peshawar. The role involves cost estimation, quantity surveying, budget monitoring, and effective cost control while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs.
• Monitor project budgets and track financial progress.
• Evaluate and verify material quantities as per project requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in cost‑related activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g., B.Sc in Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation (hydropower experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in project management and cost‑control software.
