Quantity Surveyor

Job Purpose

To manage all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects — from initial estimates and tendering through to final account — ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Pre-Contract Stage

• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget forecasts.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Schedules of Rates, and Tender Documents.
• Evaluate and analyze contractor and subcontractor bids.
• Assist in value engineering and cost planning during design development.
• Participate in procurement strategy and contract negotiation.

2. Post-Contract Stage

• Manage and monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget control throughout the construction phase.
