Radiation Therapist I (ACB) (Calgary)

Overview

Radiation Therapy department at Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary seeks a Radiation Therapist I to deliver radiotherapy treatments and support simulation and planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a prescribed course of radiation treatment to patients.
• Assist in safe and accurate planning of patient’s care during simulation and/or planning procedures under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Assess patients’ reactions to treatment.
• Document treatment plans and maintain patient records.
• Educate patients about procedures, side effects, and appropriate management strategies; refer to other professionals when needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or an accredited non‑Canadian program.
• Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
