RADIOGRAPHER, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES

The Radiographer performs high‑quality diagnostic imaging procedures and provides patient‑centered care across various modalities within the Diagnostic Imaging Services. The role includes ensuring radiation safety, maintaining equipment functionality, supporting workflow coordination, and participating in departmental quality and safety initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X‑ray, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, mammography, trauma imaging, mobile X‑ray) according to established protocols and clinician or radiologist requests.
• Apply radiation protection principles in accordance with Act304, BSRP2010, ALARA and departmental safety protocols to keep patients, staff and self safe.
• Prepare and educate patients, explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, obtaining relevant history, assessing safety risks, and providing compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
