Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Radiological Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician; applies radiation safety principles; and completes required documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist; graduation from an approved radiology technology program; eligible for membership in the CAMRT.
