Overview
Responsibilities
General Diagnostic Procedures:
* Performs all diagnostic procedures following policies and procedures established by the department, including the Fluoro and OR
* Adjusts patient care based on age-specific needs
* Uses all equipment properly and in a timely manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation to patients
* Determines most suitable position and shields patient for optimum imaging and patient comfort. Follows ALARA principle staff and patients shielding
* Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately
* Scans paperwork into PAC's System
* Maintains a working knowledge of PAC's System
* Demonstrates knowledge of CD burning
* Completes patient charges for each exam in a timely manner
* Transports patients to and from the department
* Maintains a clean and orderly environment and associated checklist
