PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure that transportation of Ore and waste rock from shafts to transfer bins is done safely and cost effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or NQF4 equivalent is essential
• Code C1 drivers license with PRDP is essential
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a rail environment with 2 years as shift leader is essential
• 1 year experience as radio operator is essential
• 2 years experience as loco driver is essential

COMPETENCIES:

• Rail and Shaft Systems knowledge
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Package
• Knowledge of COP (Legal requirement)
• Perform basic fire fighting
• Supervisory Skills
• Communication Skills
