Overview
Responsibilities


+ Perform painting of vehicle surfaces using materials such as lacquer, resin, and other coatings

+ Remove dirt, grease, and old paint from vehicle surfaces to prepare for painting

+ Use liquid paint remover, scraper, and other techniques for paint removal

+ Inspect vehicle parts to determine if replacement, protection, or sanding is required for proper painting

+ Maintain hand tools and ensure paint booth filters and fan belts are replaced as needed

+ Mix colors accurately to match original vehicle color specifications

+ Apply primers and repaint surfaces using spray guns

+ Polish painted surfaces through wet-sanding and buffing techniques
