R&D Design Engineer 1

This position is responsible for Electrical/Electronic Parts Design.
Focus on the development of electronic components and systems to meet established requirements and release electrical parts specifications into the Nissan system.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Development of electrical/electronic parts/systems
Update and release drawings to suppliers and work with suppliers through the entire life cycle of part
Conduct system level reviews with other Design Groups
Manage cost and weight of assigned parts to meet or exceed targets.
Warranty reduction/JDP IQS data analysis for making recommendations to improve customer dissatisfaction items.
Work with Nissan global team (USA/Japan/Mexico) to coordinate development projects and review Nissan internal specifications, requirements, and standards for electronics (hardware and software).
Closely coordinate with suppliers to achieve Nissan test requirements.
